DISASTER 12-13-14 CAPOCOTTA

THE BEACH IS CLOSED CAPOCOTTA !!

The storms this winter have come to destroy Ledun seriously. WWF: It 's a natural reserve to be left to nature possibilitàdi restore the environment. May not extend the agreement as if nothing agliattuali managers fosse.Durante the latest wave of storms swept the storm spiaggiadi Capocotta severely eroding dunes (photo attached). Questasituazione recurs every winter more and more serious in recent years, with the result that the beach is always smaller forcing igestori kiosks to carry out part of the dunes.
Capocotta beach with its sand dunes is a protected area dellaRiserva Roman Coastal State Nature, together with the municipal beach is also diCastel Porziano Site of Community Importance (SCI) and Special aProtezione Area (SPA) is a green jewel to preserve and manage Conlie utmost care and attention. For the WWF, at this point is absolutely necessary chiuderetemporaneamente Capocotta and finally manage it as a real RiservaNaturale not renewing contracts with existing operators, so daconsentire to natural processes and the recovery of the dunes of the beach.
Così the situation gets worse every year. "For the WWF is possible that the erosion process in this part dilitorale, is also due to a change of climate or weather marine dellacorrente drift, but consequences would have been very different if ilsistema beach-dune was intact and able to react. Now everyone will agree in commending the dune systems and integrates adeguatedimensioni a key role in preventing erosion costiera.Il erosion process, then, was triggered by an inadequate gestionedell'ambiente. For example, the first thing that transmission chioschifaranno after this disaster will be raked smooth and carefully laspiaggia by mechanical means, so that it is perfectly neat and flat, removing any tree, branch or cane and paving every nataal embryonic dune them away: the very opposite of what you should do secondoil WWF.

We waited until the early months of this year to convene the Assembly, wishing to propose a moment of reflection after having completed the first year of the new Council.

a challenging year, during which many things have happened and that certainly was important in preparing for upcoming deadlines.

The Assembly, as always, will be an opportunity to promote ideas of cultural, political and organizational.

So during the day on Friday will present a conference on biodiversity in the year dedicated to it, we will try to involve on the morning of Saturday, the presidential candidates of the Lazio Region in a debate on environmental policies, while in the afternoon we will discuss the program of the Association and on Sunday we will confront the new model of territorial organization.

This intensive program of work - which will soon be providing the details - see no less than once a range of activities in the square and at the Natural Monument, with workshops, stands and guided tours, also to involve the citizenry that welcomes us.

So I hope to see you all participate in this three days full of appointments, for which we are lavishing a significant commitment, just your presence will pay off.

Raddoppio dell’Aeroporto di Fiumicino opportunità o disastro per il Territorio?

On February 20, 2010 at 17, "Off Piste Committee"
calls a national meeting to be held at the Auditorium of
SMS "L . Albertini, Fregene, in Portovenere 145, on "Doubling
Fiumicino Airport:
opportunity or disaster for the Territory?

The recent initiatives taken by Adr (private company that has operated the airports of Rome ) with the official launch last October 14, 2009 ENAC and the Government of the Project to expand the airport and the subsequent adoption of the international tender for the Master Plan of January 20, 2010, gave a strong boost to the Adr pharaonic projects, making improcrastinabile by local authorities and the citizenry a public acknowledgment of the situation and careful reflection on the consequences that might occur even in the short term
territory.
The project was presented to ENAC and the government, it would transform one of the few areas of the Agro Romano, which has kept its vocation for agriculture and tourism and was rescued by speculation, in an area of service to the airport; with a second terminal just inside what is now is a protected air and subjected to various constraints, being wholly within the State Reserve of the Coast.
Since citizens could see the plans submitted to ENAC ADR have realized the extent of devastation that would occur in this area:
400 hectares of expropriated land on which it has to rise, as well as two other tracks, a ' area of nearly 1,000,000 square meters of buildings.
are in fact expected: new terminal, a new railway station connected to the line RomaPisa; a station for light rail to connect with the existing airport, other shopping centers - that will add to existing "Da Vinci" and "Park Leonardo "- hotels, conference centers - in addition to those already provided by the new Fair of Rome - and directional tertiary structures, etc. It 'clear that this will radically transform this area, making it unusable for agriculture and tourism and worsening conditions of life and health of both
residents and citizens of the capital, who use this place during the summer or on weekends.
But is it worth? E 'need to add new tracks to dispose of a possible increase in air traffic? The implementation of this project will bring genuine new jobs? O is likely to drastically reduce those who are there now and that are related to agriculture and tourism? What kind of development the citizens want for this area?
on these issues will open the debate after the presentation of certain inputs to the draft presented by ADR and its possible consequences.
In relation to the theme of work, will be screened the documentary film "All down through the air," the Alitalia affair, built by the workers themselves.
This initiative is part of a series of actions that the piste Committee, consisting of citizens of the Fiumicino, is implementing a number of months to raise awareness among local and national authorities and citizens in view of the expansion project Leonardo da Vinci
